Annaduff National School Student Council 

Our Student Council was established in 2024. The aim of the Student Council is to give all students a voice as well as an opportunity to participate in school affairs. It provides our students with a forum to discuss the needs and concerns of everyone in our school. The Council have the potential to help bring about positive changes both in our school and local community. Collaboration is an important part of being on the Student Council. 

The Student Council comprises of pupils from 1st-6th class. They meet twice a month and collect suggestions and ideas from each class prior to all meetings. These ideas are discussed, prioritised and brought to the attention of Ms. Caslin who sits in on all meetings. 

The Council has ten members and each member has a role to fulfil. 

The roles are as follows

  • Chairperson and vice chairperson who help lead the meetings. 
  • Secretary and vice secretary who record what is been discussed. 
  • Treasure and assistant treasure who keep the purse strings in order!
  • Four Public Relations Officers who convey ideas and activities to the school and local community. 

The Student Council communicates with the school community through email, Student Council notice board, via the school website and the school assemblies.

They are responsible for coordinating and organising various events during the year and helping local charities. 

The very first Student Council Committee comprised of the following students - Isabelle Carley, John Cox, Molly Keane, Marko Hakberdijevs, Darragh Carney, Mia Guckian, Sophia Duignan, Isabella Gray and Lily Mae Russell. 

The Student Council endeavours to make sure our wonderful school is a safe and happy place for all.
