The Green School Committee had a fantastic day out after winning a trip to the Bord Bia Bloom festival in the Phoenix Park.They travelled by train, which added to the excitement and made the journey part of the fun.
During their visit, they enjoyed a guided tour of the Agri Aware farmyard where they learned all about dairy cows, beef cattle, and sheep — and even got to see a live sheep shearing demonstration!
The pupils also took part in a sensory-based activity that encouraged them to explore a variety of foods using their senses — feeling different textures, listening to sounds, and tasting new flavours.
Afterwards, they wandered through the stunning show gardens, taking in all the creative designs and colourful displays.
It was a nice treat to celebrate all the committee’s hard work throughout the year!
